Switzerland is well aware of the consequences of global warming and the response that this challenge demands. Glaciers have been retreating, and soon skiing may be history in some mountain resorts. Consequently, leaders from both government and business are working hard to find innovative solutions to reduce energy consumption and foster sustainable environment.
This core topic will offer unique insights into collaborative innovations by private-public partnerships and into the latest results of research studies on natural environments in Switzerland. We are looking forward to engaging US partners in multidisciplinary discussions about creative solutions to climate change and new ways to develop renewable energy sources. We will also collaborate with US partners to organize an updated version of the Climate Trail, a series of posters and experts’ comments that was shown last year in San Francisco, Cambridge and Boulder.
