Whether at work or at home, as mood lighting or general illumination, LED (light emitting diode) lighting is becoming routine among architects, designers, and scenographers. On opening night of Interaction of Color and Light, the second event in our ongoing series on light, Ralf Michel and Florian Bachmann from the Zurich ColourLight Center (CLC) at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) in Switzerland, present two interactive installations, Color-Light-Patterns and Color-Light-Playground, that play with LED lighting and colored surfaces and provide insights into design potential based on their LED-ColourLab and ColourLightLab research projects.
